WS2811 is the old version with external IC, it is often made to DC12v addressable strip light, has only one signal too but it is mature for many years. WS2811 LED lighting strip is an economical addressable LED strip controlled by external IC WS2811. Each IC controls 3 LEDs, so every 3 LEDs can be cut into a pixel. Each pixel is individually addressable, which makes it very flexible in many applications.
WS2812B LED strips are DC5v individually addressable strips with IC embedded into 5050 LEDs. The built-in IC is invisible from the outside, which makes the strip stronger and more flexible, and can be applied to different types of surfaces. Each LED is cuttable as an individually addressable pixel. WS2812B LED strip has only one data signal when one pixel dies, the signal cannot pass through.
WS2813 intelligently controls the LED light source, integrating the control circuit and RGB chip in a 5050 element package. WS2813 is another DC5v built-in IC strip light. It includes an intelligent digital port data latch and signal to shape amplifier drive circuit. The main feature of the WS2813 Strip is that a broken LED will not affect other LEDs unless two consecutive LEDs are broken.
